why palmerston north?

The Southern North Island is the fourth most forested region in New Zealand, producing a sustainable cut of 3 million m³ annually.

What makes it unique? Approximately 70% of this harvest comes from small, non-corporate forests—making it the perfect location to champion health and safety improvements tailored to smaller and woodlot operations.

A recent FISC report also highlighted opportunities for stronger health and safety performance in the region, reinforcing the need for industry-wide collaboration.

Who Should Attend?

This event is designed for:

  • Contractors

  • Forest Owners

  • Forest Managers

  • Industry Stakeholders looking to shape the future of forestry safety

FICA Members and Non-Members are welcome to attend. Together, we can build a safer, more connected forestry industry.
