FAQs
Do we have to use the Care Pass Doctors?
No you do not. If you or your crew member wants to see their doctor as normal, they can.
If their normal doctor is not participating in the Care Pass programme, and they get a medical certificate with a return to work recommendation and suggested light duties that you don't agree with, then you can ask them to get a second opinion.
This can either be:
With a medical practice that is connected to Care Pass - when you sign up we'll provide a list of participating medical centres in your region who have are the Care Pass system.
OR through the Care Pass Telehealth option
Who pays for the medical appointment?
That's up to you as the business owner. By default, when your Care Pass is activated, the employer is billed. If you are wanting your crew member to be billed directly, you can let us know at set up and we will change the settings in the Care Pass system.

What is the cost of Care Pass?
The 1-year Care Pass subscription is free for eligible contractors. Trial pricing applies to Safetree Certified FICA members in Bay of Plenty and Tairawhiti. The cost of telehealth / medical / GP appointment is at your own cost (as normal). Care Pass telehealth appointments are $95+GST per 30 minute appointment.
