Charlotte Holdsworth is a person displaying professional and personal commitment to achieving the best environmental outcomes. She is the Outstanding Environmental Management Award Winner at the 2022 Hawkes Bay Forestry Awards.
Charlotte has been instrumental in providing both the planning and communication that set a benchmark for effective collaboration between Council and the Hawkes Bay forestry industry. Notably this has been around slash management and ensuring the biodiversity of the forest is maximised.
With a very thorough approach to assessment and management of the environmental risk that the harvesting and earthworks activities may pose in their woodlots, Charlotte has initiated both the design and build of an innovative geospatial cloud-based data collection, management, and reporting system, which integrates with portable field devices for real-time data capture.
Charlotte has a background in geology and geomorphology, including monitoring a large, slow-moving translational landslide as part of her master’s degree, specialising in slope failures.
