FICA’s regional meeting series for members in 2012 is expected to be even more popular than previous years due to the introduction of
productivity tips. FICA holds regular bush visits in key forestry regions almost every month. These bush visits often draw in contractors across
the region and from other regions, who normally don’t get the time to visit each others’ operations. For one day each month FICA regional
meetings allow contactors to have a look at other crews working, compare experiences and have a chance to sit down and enjoy a dinner and
a drink or two with their peers and alongside FICA sponsor company representatives.

Regional meetings include optional workshops for contractor company owners and supervisors, which follow on the second day and have been
very popular! Mark your diary with these dates - make yourself a promise to go to a forestry region away from home in 2012. Taking the time
for some ‘learning-from-others’ is one of the well-kept secrets of New Zealand’s most successful forest contractors!
